CRAFTSMANSHIP AND CULTURE
Loos - Wittgenstein - Schönberg

Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Vienna was also the city of Adolf Loos, Arnold Schönberg, Sigmund Freud, Karl Kraus, Gustav Klimt and Oskar Kokoschka. The intellectual exchange between thinkers and artists at the time led to epoch-defining achievements in arts and science recognized as the product of a distinct time and place.

As the historian Carl Schorske describes it:
"Almost simultaneously in one area after another, the city’s intelligentsia produced innovations that became identified throughout the European cultural sphere as Vienna “schools” – notably in psychology, art history, and music."
